In order to carry out it’s mission, Inverted Arts will focus on these five strategies:

1. PARTNERSHIPS

We cultivate the soil of relationships, partnering with organizations already working with youth in under-served communities. These schools, shelters, and non profit organizations have invested in the community for many years, working hard to build caring and trusting relationships.

2. ART CAMPS AND ART EXPLORATION PROGRAMS

We plant the seeds of creative potential at Art Camps and Art Exploration Programs and led by professional Artist Mentors. Students receive tools and training in everything from fashion to filmmaking, song-writing to story-telling, and drawing to design. Students will present their creative achievements to their families, friends and community at a final Showcase event.

3. SCHOLARHIPS AND INTERNSHIPS

We help students grow deeper and wider through four-year college scholarships and project internships such as documentary/short films, visual art and photo exhibits, recording projects, and other artistic product creation.

4. SMALL BUSINESSES

Scholarship graduates become entrepreneurs, launching small businesses that bear creative fruit. Inverted Arts invests funds over five years to help the business become self-sustaining. Businesses must be lead by a team of three or more and be connected to our partner organizations for accountability, oversight, and office/production/retail space.

5. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

The whole community benefits from the fruit and shade of the small business. As young entrepreneurs work towards success for themselves and their communities, they offer goods and services, generate income, provide jobs and mentoring, development and training. These entrepreneurs lead annual Art Camps where the cycle of creative discovery and opportunity can repeat.
