Justice for George Floyd

Inverted Arts stands with our black brothers and sisters here in Minneapolis, in the United States and around the world. Your lives matter to us and we stand with you in sadness, anger, frustration, protest, and we join you to fight for justice and to rebuild our societal systems that need to change now! We are writing letters and signing petitions for the prosecution and conviction of the officers involved in the murder of George Floyd, and actively confronting racism wherever and whenever we see or hear it. We have a food and supply shelf that is delivering daily to meet needs among our students, artists, partners and their families in the Twin Cities. Our studio space is available to our black students and artists to lift up their creative voices in protest (groups of 10 or less with face masks and social distancing per the governor’s orders). We encourage everyone to act for justice. Here are some ideas and resources to act now.

3. Support black-owned businesses in your community.
