Mary’s Place

Mary’s Place

We have recently begun conversations about a partnership with Mary’s Place, an organization in Minneapolis that works with homeless families and youth. We are very excited about the projects we have begun to explore and plan, including a day event to help families and youth of different cultural backgrounds understand one another’s stories and journeys. We will also be doing a multi-week illustration project with the big sister little sister program. They will be taught illustration techniques and given the opportunity to work through their story in a tangible way, enabling them to share their story with others, to break walls of isolation, and open further dialogue about various issues many in their community are facing. There are many ways for the programs to continue to evolve but these are some very exciting initial steps!
