$10K for Scholarships at the IA Dinner and Auction!

What a special night at our first annual Scholarship Dinner and Auction last Saturday! Over 125 friends, family, partners and students attended, and together we raised over $10,000 for IA Scholarships to be awarded in 2015! 100% of these funds will go toward student scholarships through partnerships in the Mathare Valley, the D.R. and at Hope Academy in Minneapolis. The event was held at the Medina Golf and Country Club and featured several students from Hope Academy and Mary’s Place. Student Savannah Davis closed the evening by singing an amazing original song called “Champions” with the help of Anna and Jasmine. The Auction featured over 60 items, including a delicious dessert auction with one particularly delectable chocolate sundae cake going for $240!

Thank you to everyone who came out and generously supported and participated in the event! Thank you to the many individuals and companies that donated auction items! Thank you to our wonderful planning team: LaVonne Dyer, Suzy Nardini, Nancy Vischer, Natalie Awalt, Bea Mulawarman. We are extremely grateful to all of you!
