An Invitation from Seth

Since launching in 2010, the work of Inverted Arts has centered on two core beliefs: that every young person is “created to create,” and that their “creativity is KEY to community development.” With these convictions in mind, we’ve built a pathway for youth to discover and develop their creativity through Art Camps, scholarships, and small business partnerships that provide income, training, jobs, products, services, solutions and hope for the  entire community. Nowhere has this been more successful than in Kenya!

This year Seth Luchemos began serving as our Kenya Director and his strong leadership and ideas are moving us full speed ahead! Take a moment to watch this update and invitation from Seth.

Since January 1st, Seth and his team have:

  • Led four successful Art Camps for over 350 students
  • Begun year-round weekend sessions for students at Mathare Children’s Education and Kariobangi Children’s Home
  • Developed a leadership curriculum and launched weekend training sessions for scholarship students, business partners and Artist Mentors (bottom L)
  • Led team building hikes with scholarship students and business partners (bottom middle)
  • Managed our scholarship and business partner programs, building communication, application and reporting standards, better follow-up, and day-to-day care for each partner
  • Developed a new partnership with Good Samaritan Children’s Home in the Soweto Slum and led our first Art Camp there (bottom R)
  • Continued to develop new partnership possibilities in Uganda with an inaugural Art Camp in 2027!
  • Continued to develop plans for a permanent Arts Center in the Mathare slum where  students can discover their talents and unleash their creativity every day!

This June, our goal is to raise $25,000 to continue our work developing a proven pathway for young people to use their creativity to transform their communities. Your investment will help support Seth as Kenya Director, his team of Artist Mentors, the Art Camps, weekend sessions and leadership training, scholarships and business partnerships and new partner development.

Thank you for in advance for your faithful and generous support!
