FFA Art Camp
By Seth Luchemos – IA Kenya Director
The FFA Art Camp brought together 70 students April 20-24 for a transformative and creative learning experience. Anchored on the theme“Made for More,” the camp provided a platform for young people to explore their gifts, build confidence, and express their creativity across various art disciplines. Each class was designed to nurture both skill development and personal growth, while reinforcing the message that every participant is uniquely created with purpose and potential.
1. Music – Participants were introduced to practical music skills, including playing instruments such as the keyboard, ukulele, and drum set. Beyond instrumental training, students explored songwriting and successfully collaborated to compose and record an original song. This was a major milestone that boosted their confidence and creativity.

Students were grouped into three dance teams, allowing for better coordination and personalized learning. They developed choreography, teamwork, and stage presence, culminating in energetic and well-coordinated performances.

A key highlight was the creation of custom tote bags, which students not only sewed but also decorated with unique hand-painted artwork, showcasing both creativity and practical skill acquisition.

The Younger groupfocused on collage artwork, encouraging playful creativity and expression. The Older group explored canvas painting, producing impressive and expressive pieces. The final outputs from both groups were exceptional, reflecting growth in creativity, confidence, and artistic skill.
