A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who attended, participated in, donated to, and sponsored our second annual Inverted Arts Scholarship Dinner and Auction on Friday March 11th! What an amazing night it was! Together we raised $13,250 towards our goal of $15,000 for our 2016 Scholarship Program! About 164 people gathered at the Medina Golf and Country Club for the celebration, auction, and delicious dinner. The highlight of the evening was the IA students. We met Stephanie Aquino, our first scholarship recipient from Hope Academy who is a pre-med student at University of Northwestern. We heard from Richard and Grace Johnson and Rachel Kite; visual arts interns who are working on an exhibit that will be displayed during Art-a-Whirl May 20-22. We heard awesome spoken word performances by Will Watkins and AC Wilson who are co-directors of the upcoming IA documentary film “Mosaic” looking at the nature of diversity and to be screened during Art-a-Whirl. And finally, we heard a moving performance of her original song “Stained” by CeCe Harris. Check out all the photos below from a wonderful evening!
