Film Making in Santo Domingo

This past week we had the pleasure of working with 15 talented youth from Mundo De Fe Church in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. The students created an original short film called “Los 10 Mandamientos” (The Ten Commandments). They came up with everything from story and script, to editing and original theme song. Artist Mentors Chase Baker, Adriel Charles Santos and Mark Collier had a great time working with the students and the week was capped off with a screening of the film, complete with red carpet, Hollywood Blvd. style hand prints and stars, pop corn and soda. Special thanks to the staff at Mundo De Fe – James and Brenda Land and Lisbeth Duran, and our hosts for the week – Kristin and Joselo Santana. Check out all the great photos below.

Another highlight of the week was presenting a scholarship to Adriel Charles Santos. Adriel is an incredible musician and song-writer who helped with the music for the film and will begin music school this fall! Congratulations Adriel!
