Inverted Arts helps students from under-resourced communities discover what’s “RIGHT” with them. As they unleash their creative voices, not only are their own lives changed, but so are their communities! You could say it this way; creativity is KEY to community development! On Give to the Max Day Thursday, November 18th, will you help us raise $20,000 to unleash creativity through our local and global programs?

Local Programs – $10,000

Inverted Arts hires professional Artist Mentors to help students unleash their creative voices in a variety of artistic mediums: filmmaking, songwriting, visual art, photography, graphic design, spoken word, theater, and more!  We offer before/after school programs and Art Camps with  partners in Minneapolis at Friendship AcademyHope AcademyVenture AcademyEastside Neighborhood ServicesExploration High School, Raygen Samone’s iMAGE bEARERS, and during “Open Studio” sessions at Inverted Arts. We pay Artist Mentors $100/1.5 hour class (includes 30 min prep time and transportation), and we serve over 500 MN students each  year! 

Global Programs – $10,000

Inverted Arts offers Art Camps, Scholarships, Small Business Investment opportunities for students at Mathare Community Outreach in Kenya and Mission of Hope for the Disabled in Liberia. This year we are launching two new small businesses led by our scholarship graduates Seth Luchemo (L) and Kevin Obambo (R) in Kenya! Seth is leading Recreation Factory Arts – a music production company and artist training center, and Kevin is leading K. Fraji Productions – a video production company. We are thrilled to invest in these talented young men who are changing their communities through creativity! Check out their introduction videos below!
