Helping Mathare

For the past 10 years we have partnered with Mathare Community Outreach in Kenya to provide an annual Art Camp for their students and scholarships for their graduates. The Covid-19 pandemic has hit the Mathare Valley hard and the school has had to close. This means students are missing their classes and the two meals a day that the school normally provides. Teachers have been laid off without pay. Families that typically survive on $2/day are not able to work at all. Our annual August Art Camp has also been postponed.

Please watch the video above from our good friend and partner Dotun Modupe, Kenyan Country Director for Bright Hope International, who is leading a food campaign for students, teachers, staff and their families. These families will receive $20/month (enough for a family of 6) in food vouchers to shop at their local grocery store. Inverted Arts is committed to raising $2,500 to send by the end of July. Please help us. 100% of your donation will go to the Mathare Food Program.
