DR Art Camp 2015

We are extremely excited to be heading back to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic to lead our fourth annual Art Camp there, August 3-8. And the excitement is high for many reasons. We are excited to be with our amazing partners and hosts Kristin and Joselo Santana and their new baby boy Elliot, as well as our friends at host church Mundo De Fe. We are also excited about two new Artist Mentors joining our team this year: Chase Baker, a talented film maker from Montrose, CA and Adriel Santos, a brilliant musician from the DR. (You can read about Chase below and more about Adriel to come soon!)

During Art Camp week, Mundo De Fe students will be shooting an original short film that is a modern version of the Ten Commandments, complete with original score. The film will be screened in surrounding communities on Saturday August 8th. We can’t wait for you to see it!

Meet Chase BakerChase Baker (1)

Chase is the Video Director at Montrose Church in Los Angeles, CA.  and also works on commercials, short films and feature films. Chase gained much of his film school experience through the cinematography program at Clark Magnet High School. This led to immediate employment at Key Code Media in Burbank and much experience with the technical set up of media systems for film and television. At 19 years old, he is still having fun discovering how he can best use his talents to serve the Lord. In his spare time, Chase enjoys producing videos, traveling the world and learning as much as he can about film. Chase is very appreciative of the mentors he has had and the opportunities he’s been given. He hopes that he can pass on his knowledge to others as he continues to pursue his work in film.
