Art-a-Whirl Success!

Thanks to everyone who came down to visit during our Art-a-Whirl Open House this past weekend! We had over 700 people come through and the crowds seem to grow every year. Here are just some of the highlights. We hosted a student exhibit of original works from Rachel Kite, Grace Johnson, and Richard Johnson. Three of their pieces sold, so they are officially professional artists! There was also a great deal of interest in featured exhibits from Artist Mentors Rebecca Ulasich and Sarah Albinson. In addition, we screened our new documentary film about diversity, “Everybody’s Got a Story,” created and co-directed by AC Wilson and Will Watkins and produced by Artist Mentors Chad Amour and Mark Collier. On Saturday we hosted two special screenings with the student directors that included a Q+A time where we learned a little more about these two talented students, their creative process, and their thoughts on the importance of encouraging diversity.
