Inverted Arts has received a generous grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council that will largely fund our third annual Art Exploration Program at Hope Academy in South Minneapolis. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

The Inverted Arts Exploration Program at Hope Academy is a collaborative and creative journey for 75 middle school students and 10 high school interns running June 10 – July 3 that will inspire and equip them to flip their world upside-down through the arts. Inverted Arts will bring in professional Artist Mentors alongside Hope teachers and volunteers to provide training, tools, and the opportunity for students to create artistic products in one of five artistic disciplines: music, photography, visual art and theater and dance. The Inverted Arts Exploration Program will conclude with an Community Showcase Celebration on Tuesday July 2nd at 7 p.m. at Hope Academy, 2300 Chicago Ave. S. in Minneapolis. We’d love to see you there to celebrate the creative achievements of the students!
