Kariobangi Choir CD

This past August our Inverted Arts Team was in the Mathare Valley, Kenya to record the Kariobangi Children’s Home Choir. We are currently finishing up the mixing and mastering of the project and the CD should be out in the coming months. In the meantime, you can get sneak peak at one of the songs – “Ekabuyeche” – by clicking the title below.

Ekabuyeche

The Kariobangi Children’s Home was founded in 1997 by Bishop Daniel and Mrs. Magdaline Ogutu in order to cater for orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV AIDS. At that time there were only 6 children and it now serves 114 children, both boys and girls ages four and higher. While in the home children enjoy a well balanced diet (3 meals a day), shelter, and education. Every child has their own bed and bedding and personal items. The Home is part of a church-based project called Mather Community Outreach.
