Mathare Art Camp 2017

It was another amazing Art Camp with the talented students of the Mathare Valley, Kenya! The theme of this seventh annual Art Camp was “created 2 create!”What made this year’s Camp extra special was that each of the five classes: video, photography, music, fashion and visual art, was led by Kenyan Artist Mentors and assisted by our MN team. Six of the ten Kenyan Artist Mentors are IA Scholarship recipients! How cool is that! Plus, the week was capped of with an amazing and energetic Showcase of students creativity, complete with a special guest performance by Kenyan rapper (and Mathare’s own) Eko Dydda! Enjoy all the student creativity below!
