Mathare Art Camp 2025

Made for Something Great!

By Seth Luchemos – Art Camp Director

The theme for this year’s Mathare Art Camp was “Gift of Purpose – You Were Made for Something Great!” Students were guided through a five-day devotional series that reminded them of their God-given identity, creativity, and potential. Each day, participants explored how their unique talents can be used meaningfully for God’s glory and the good of others.

Throughout the week, students engaged in specialized classes including music, dance, arts & crafts, fashion, baking, videography, and photography. These classes not only nurtured technical skills but also built teamwork, confidence, and faith integration.

On the final day, students proudly showcased their projects and performances, giving parents, mentors, and peers a glimpse of their growth. From heartfelt songs and energetic dances to creative artwork, stylish fashion pieces, delicious baked goods, and inspiring media projects—the showcase was a true celebration of talent and purpose.

We were also honored to host Fortune, a rising star in Kenya’s gospel music scene, as our guest artist. Her story and performance were a powerful reminder to the students that they too can use their gifts to ignite their light and pursue their God-given calling.

The camp was a success not only in building skills but also in shaping character and inspiring vision. Students left encouraged that they were indeed created for something great!

To everyone who supports the work of Inverted Arts, thank you for investing in the lives of these young creatives—you are part of every smile, every breakthrough, and every step they take toward discovering and living out their purpose!
